FIVER launched as Five Life in October 2006, becoming FIVER on 28th April 2008.

 

The channel is attracting increasing numbers of younger viewers with a range of younger, faster, ruder programming.  It has a rich mix of the best acquired and originated programming and already  has seen a number of high-profile, new programmes including Generation Sex, Glamour’s Best Dressed List 2008, Celebrity Rehab, Dirt and the internet sensation, Sofia’s Diary.

Statistics

  • Launched as Five Life in October 2006 and re-branded to FIVER on 28th April 2008.
  • FIVER shows a mix of soaps, drama, documentaries and film with a greater focus on 16-34 year olds.
  • Since the re-brand, the channel has increased its share among all individuals by +9% and by +19% among 16-34s. First look Home & Away is on FIVER and this is the highest rating show. 
  • FIVER is committed to showing quality documentaries and factual programmes and performs well with shows like Police Interceptors, The Hotel Inspector: Unseen and Extraordinary People.
